ARTIST PRESENTATION - TICA AIRLAB 2016 residency program

T.I.C.A has the pleasure to invite you at the presentation event of the spring period of AIRLAB 2016 residency program.

From 2016 TICA AIRLAB will be run in collaboration with MAPS - Mobile Archive on Public Space and Stefano Romano will be the curator/coordinator of the spring term.

The artists in residency:

SILVA AGOSTINI  (Albania /Germany)

BRANISLAV NIKOLIĆ  (Republic of Serbia)

SU TOMESEN (the Netherlands)

Will present for the public their artistic practice and previous projects in an open and informal event.


About the artists


SILVA AGOSTINI:

Born in 1979, Silva Agostini lives and works in Berlin. She attended the Academy of Arts Tirana and the University of the Arts Berlin (master student of Christiane Möbus). Her work has been shown in numerous of solo and group exhibitions in Germany and Europe, among others in the Nassauischer Kunstverein, Wiesbaden, Macedonian Museum of contemporary art, Thessaloniki, National Gallery Tirana and at the Tirana Biennale. She is a founding member of the Project Space “TÄT” in Berlin.


BRANISLAV NIKOLIĆ:

Born 1970 in Šabac, Serbia. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad, Serbia, the department of painting, in 1996. He received postgraduate degrees from the Dutch Art Institute, Enschede, the Netherlands in 2001 and from the Academy of Fine Arts in Novi Sad, Serbia in 2002. From 1995 he is a member of the Association of Fine Artists of Serbia. From 2002 he is selector for the Jalovik Art Colony (www.jalovik.net). He works in sculpture, painting, design and as a curator. Branislav Nikolić has exhibited his works independently and together with other artists, both at home and abroad. He lives and works in Belgrade, Serbia.


SU TOMESEN:

Visual artist Su Tomesen is based in Amsterdam and Jogjakarta. Her work consists of videos, photographs and installations, and concentrates on informal economies and ingenuity in public space. Her background –educated as a historian and working as a director – is integrated in her work. After getting an master in Fine Art at the Sandberg Institute in Amsterdam she has been artist-in-residence in Amman, Johannesburg, Medellín. She also worked for a video project in Port-au-Prince, Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires.
